Again this year, we’ve engaged some of our members as Fitmama Strong Leaders to help us provide a safe, comfortable and inclusive space for new parents in Ottawa to meet up, share stories, learn from each other, get out of the house and meet new friends. 

When I had my babies, my mat leaves were made so memorable because of the free Strollercize program that was sponsored by Boomerang Kids at the time. Nearly 24 years later, I'm still in touch with many of the people I met there. This program is my way of giving back to the Ottawa Community.

We would like to ask that you reserve your space, so that our leaders have an idea of how many people to expect each week and so that we know that our walkers have signed our waiver. If you reserve a space and you aren't able to attend, please cancel your reservation. You’re able to reserve your space up to 7 days in advance, so that you can consider your schedule each week and plan your attendance.

PS. While we're offering this program free to anyone who would like to attend, we will be compensating our leaders and we'll rely on their feedback on community participation to decide whether to run this program in the future.

There is also a free indoor walking group at St. Laurent Mall called Happy Feet Mom and Me Walking Group. It runs on Tuesdays at 10 am and is led by a group of mamas who wanted to be more social with other mamas.
