Babywearing Fitness

Indoor Mom & Baby Fitness

Are you a parent with a new baby, wanting to feel fit again? Fitmama Strong’s Babywearing Fitness (formerly FITMOM and Baby) classes are a great way to get out of the house, get some exercise and make new friends. An encouraging and supportive environment means that you can work out at your own pace AND tend to your baby when needed.

Our Babywearing Fitness classes teach you how to safely and effectively exercise in your early postpartum days and beyond. They are designed with the best training evidence and because we specialize in all things prenatal and postpartum, our programs are always evolving as we keep up with current research.

You’ll also learn strategies to incorporate exercise into your life after baby and get support on topics related to early parenting. Most importantly, it’s a great opportunity to meet other parents in your community, who are at the same stage in life as you are.

This is a babywearing class, so please bring a structured carrier or a non-stretchy wrap to this class. Your baby will love snuggling with you while you wear them in your baby carrier and you will love the extra resistance that wearing your baby provides!

You’re also very welcome to attend even if your baby can’t come with you!

Do you have questions? We have answers!

In-person class timings or locations don’t work for you? We’d love to have you join us live, online or try out our on-demand workouts in our Content Library!

Glebe Community Centre

Hooray! We’re hosting Babywearing Fitness classes at the Glebe Community Center!

Our Babywearing Fitness Classes are hosted at the Glebe Community Centre in the third floor dance studio, in central Ottawa. We’ll spend 45 minutes wearing our babies while we work on improving our strength and endurance using light weights. Our class includes a warm up and cool down and we often have conversations about parenting, exercise and other interesting topics during the class so that we can get to know each other and build our mama community.
